Watchin' movies

Hey long time no see!!

Watching movies is a regular pastime lately. Certainly cheaper than goin out anyway. Cash flow has been a little slow lately but at least things are looking up.

I have a part time job and I am pretty pleased with myself. Not kidding myself that I wont have to work hard in the new job but at least it will certainly be honest work, and it will give me, well us, a little spending stuff. Perhaps even get us a little out of debt.

So in the meantime me and a couple of friends hang around and watch movies or enjoy a little lunch together at each others homes. It aint such a bad thing you know, at least you always have friends, no matter how broke.

I have taken up a little gardening too and it is cool. Another friend and I swap seedlings and bulbs to enable us to enlarge our gardens, its cool, cheap and keeps us a little fitter than sitting around all day worrying about the next bill coming in.

Ok going back to watchin I-See-You.com, pretty funny movie actually. Ciao ...

ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more Been mucking about with a few different graphics, some ok others not so good, well it is all experience I suppose.

The boys are now both residing in Melbourne and I miss them heaps. Course they are both broke! Well let me expand on that one, they are too broke to do more than keep up with the bills, but not so broke they cant go out or have tea out. I wish I was that broke.

Well have to stop mucking about as I must get my paperwork ready for taxation. Yuk yuk yuk

Telephone Sales

Boy did I just have the best of these idiots just call me! You know same old empty line and such we all get calls like that - sometimes every day.

Well this call was different, the caller put me on hold and which stated that they were busy and would attend to my call asap. The nerve the bastard rang me!

Okay so as per I put the phone onto the desk so I could hear it and waited - worked while I waited - even finalised the graphic I was making - its their money.

When he came on line, as nice as pie as if nothing had happened and asked me how I was, I told him. I said, 'You called me and then put me on hold, how rude. Didnt anyone ever teach him how to make a polite phone call?'

He gasped.

I continued, 'I was fine until your call and I do not appreciate getting a call from some numbskull that puts me on hold.'

He gasped again, but I didnt let him say a thing.

I added, 'In future if you call anyone, especially me make sure you are not so rude..' I would have continued but he hung up. Probably couldnt stand the stress!

more friendship

This afternoon I called Blue Fairy. It has been about 4 months since I spoke with her as a friend and I asked her - are we still friends.
Her answer while disappointing was not surprising, NO! She had a few excuses and such but mostly I understood why she does not have many friends. She doesnt culture friendship, that is unless there is a lot going her way then she cant abide by it.
I bear her no grudges for being honest about the friendship, probably never had much of a chance anyway. Really wot kind of friendship continues to exist because you have one dominant person, constantly and the other agreeing because she knows that the other will not tolerate a disagreement.
I must say that in the last few months I dared to disagree and I could see that Blue Fairy was unhappy with the answer.
AND so that this is not all one sided I have to admit that once I no longer officially worked for the council I had no problems bagging it. This part while joined in enthusiastically and fuelled sometimes by Blue Fairy was very wrong and quite destructive for the friendship because I often disagreed with Blue Fairy on a matter. She seemed to take it on the chin, maybe she didnt!
It is a shame for a friendship to end like this, it is a shame for any friendship to end.

Joke

Woman walks into a ice cream parlour and asks for some chocolate ice cream.
"Sorry miss but we're out of chocolate, could I interest you in another flavour?" replies the man behind the counter.
"Ok I'll have chocolate"
"But we don't have any choclate" the man says firmly.
"What about chocolate?"
"Right spell Van as in Vanilla"
"V-A-N" the woman says.
"Now spell Straw as in Strawberry"
"S-T-R-A-W"
"Now spell Fuck as in Chocolate"
"But there is no Fuck' in Chocolate"

"Thats what I've been tryin to tell ya!!"

Friends

Aint it great to have friends. I mean for all different reasons - they can be your muse, your mentor, they are the one you listen to, the mum or even just plain fun. I think friends are great.

They pick you up, dust you off and even kick you up the bum if you need it - honestly where you be without them.

I think I am very lucky to have so many friends who fit into so many areas of my life, especially with me working on my own now. Sometimes I just need a friend so I know that I am not the only person here on earth alive today.

I had a day where I had a lot of work to do and no motivation to do it. I called a friend thats wot, and we chatted for a while - nothing deep or meaningful, not that I remember anyway. When I hung up I felt like I could go on and get the work done and I did. Nothing earth shattering there but I think it is important.

I have been experimenting with different looks for my blog and other areas of my orifice and it sure is great to get the opinion of someone else to see if you are on the right track.

Dont get me wrong I dont live and breathe my friends and live in their respective pockets, it is just really good to keep in touch, share a little and then get back to work.

One of my friends is having a stressful time at present. She calls a couple of times a day and is really freaking out. I think workplace relations are pretty shite now days. Honestly if you cant communicate with your boss wot you are feeling and they use standover tactics to push you into areas you dont feel comfortable with AND they dont listen to you more importantly, work can be pretty over the top!

I suppose I am biased !!

The Christmas Story

Christmas is a busy time for everyone. We usually have it here at our house in our little village. Mum & Dad come for a couple of days, work up a storm and leave again. By a storm I mean they work, very very hard. I have to say it is really helpful but getting them to relax is really difficult.

Mum was exhausted and really didnt need to do anything, especially Christmas Day but she couldn't stand it, just sitting reading a book and relaxing. It is something she often says she wishes she could do, she just doesnt and isnt happy unless she is working.

Dad is a different kettle of fish. He will relax, he has to but even relaxing he will supervise. Thats ok and he makes the Apprentice and Sparky stop and relax with him - regularly. The trouble is he doesnt stop when Mum is here, not as often anyway. Mum is the driving force and it wears them both out.

I took Mum for a drive while she was here just so she mite relax a little. I think she did but she was tired afterwards. Thing is the guys just had a good time, they worked but not so hard. They made tea again too. Cool for me!

Anyway back to The C Day. Sparky and the MMW (Dad) volunteered to cook everything and prepare for lunch. Cool no problemo go for it, I said.

Mum couldnt say that and volunteered to help. MMW looked a little crestfallen. I interupted and asked Mum to relax and let the men do it. MMW smiled and went out. Must admit S & MMW had a great time. So did I. Mum wasnt happy until she had cut up the fruit. Well it was something.

Finally later she got her nose into a book and couldnt get it out when the lunch bell went. That was funny. Anyway she upped and got out to the new you beaut BBQ area and we all dug in. Yum it was a fine repast and we all wondered what the rich were doing coz we had their food.

Werent many pressies this year. That was okay as there isnt much needed at present - more help with getting things cleared. I gave Mum some of the money she chipped in for lunch back too. That felt really good and I think she needed it too as she didnt argue. Really we only buy wot we want and that is good quality so we dont spend much. Anyway I gotta kick out of giving some back. Mum & Dad have paid for so much for us to get on our feet at C so why not. It is time.

S has gone off to his brothers 60th birthday party - 9 hours away. I mention how it takes to get there cos it is a bloody long way and why must he have it in the C break? Big Brother (BB) came over from NZ for his party - Doesnt he have any friends?

Short story is that I didnt go coz M & D were here still and coz the kids are too. We may see TA a lot but not Geeky Guy (GG). He lives in Melbourne and we hardly get to see him. I wasnt going nowhere for anyone unless we were all going. I think kids are precious, especially as they get older. They need you more now than before when they were babies. They dont need material things, they want your company, your advice, for you to be their mentor. If youre not there they miss out, we miss out.

Immediate family comes first and although he is his brother he could have made a birthday party at some other time. If his BB cant pick a better time, tough.

Well that is our C Day story, fun, family, festivity, fabulous food, clearing the air! & fixing problems.

Ciao Bella.
